Professor Masanori Tachikawa
Yokohama City University
Since December 2025
Email: tachi[at]yokohama-cu.ac.jp

Bio: My research centers on Computational and Quantum Chemistry, with a particular focus on developing quantum simulation methods that treat both electrons and hydrogen nuclei fully quantum mechanically. These approaches have been successfully applied to a broad spectrum of systems, ranging from materials science to complex biochemical environments. I have been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Young Scholar Lectures of the Chemical Society of Japan (2006); the Young Scientists’ Prize, The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (2007); the Award of the Society of Computational Chemistry, Japan (2017); the International Award of the Japan Society of Molecular Science (2019); and the Outstanding Achievement Award for HPCI Research Projects (2022).

Professor Chia-Yu Lin
National Cheng Kung University

Email: CYL44[at]mail.ncku.edu.tw

Bio: Prof. Chia-Yu Lin is the Adjunct Professor from 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027 at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Prof. Chia-Yu Lin is a Professor at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). He earned his PhD from National Taiwan University (2010) and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge (2011–2013) before joining NCKU, where he progressed from Assistant Professor to his current rank. His research interests include electrochemical sensors, organic electrosynthesis, and (photo-)electrocataysis. His research has garnered multiple prestigious honors, including two Future Tech Awards for his work on cardiovascular bio-signal systems and low-carbon Nylon 6,6 electrosynthesis, as well as the 19th National Innovation Award for a point-of-care urine detection system.
